USAF Drag-Aboard
Aircraft Medical Grade Power Conditioner:
Another program ETI units support.
THis ETI0005-series “drag aboard” power conditioner unit in a rugged transit case was designed for Scott AFB to take standard aircraft 3-phase 440 Hz power and produce Hospital Grade or Medical Grade power in-flight, for medical applications on aircraft other than their limited number of C-9A "hospital aircraft" (which already have hospital grade power).
Approximately 15” x 15” x 30”, these power conditioner units were constructed from aluminum for lighter weight. Each conditioner contained three ETI designed Uninterruptible power systems (UPS) designed with M-3 displays on the top panel. Each of the three UPS modules were also built with aluminum enclosed modules that dropped into the main chassis.
Used aboard KC-10 tranports, these units were designed to take 115 VAC L-L, 3-Phase, aircraft power and convert it to 120 VAC, 60 Hz hospital grade output.
